THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN MALAGA
Fuengirola enjoys a great Christmas spirit in every corner of the town during these dates, with lights, decorations, acts, festive activities and a large Christmas market located in the Plaza de España from the 17th of December to the 5th of January. Both residents and guests of our hotel have a wonderful time at this market.
Christmas officially arrived in Fuengirola on the 28th of November with the opening of the town's Bethlehem scene that recreates different parts of the village. This event was celebrated with the turning on of the Christmas lights, providing the different Fuengirola districts with light and colour. The spectacular Christmas market was also opened and has enjoyed two locations during the first days: one in the Plaza de la Constitucion and the other in the Plaza de España.
The Bioparc's tent will be located in the Plaza de la Constitucion from the 17th of December to receive the page of the Three Wise Men who will collect the letters written by all the children in Fuengirola.
The latest Christmas market in Fuengirola is formed by 25 wooden cabins in which local merchants and craftsmen offer their products. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of options and a traditional atmosphere.
At this particular Christmas market you can find jewellery, accessories, baking, Christmas sweets, decorative elements, flowers and plants, handcrafted items: a huge range of articles you can buy as presents for people.
The Fuengirola Christmas Market also has free activities available for children at weekends. Kids can enjoy workshops of crafts, face painting and balloon modelling, in addition to different entertainment options, both in the Plaza de la Constitucion and the Plaza de España where there is a cabin just for kids.
Children's activities are available on Friday evenings (5:30-7:30pm), on Saturday and Sunday mornings (12noon-2pm) and in the evening (5:30-7:30pm). From the 19th of December, when kids finish school and the holidays commence, there will also be children's activities on Friday afternoons from 12 noon to 2pm.
